Mitsubishi EVO 4-9 Semi-Integrated Dry Sump System
The AT Power Mitsubishi Semi-Integrated Dry Sump System is engineered to prevent engine oil starvation (surge) caused by extreme G-forces during race conditions. This system reduces engine oil temperatures and unlocks additional horsepower potential, making it an essential upgrade for serious racers.
Integrated High-Efficiency Oil Pump System
Featuring a high-efficiency 3-stage dual-ported Oil Pump with positive displacement G-rotors, this system efficiently supplies pressurised oil into the engine while simultaneously removing aerated oil from the sump pan and returning it to a remote oil tank. This increases overall oil supply capacity and ensures consistent lubrication under high-performance conditions.
Unlike traditional belt-driven setups, this integrated design removes the need for external belts – eliminating front-end packaging issues and the risk of belt failure.
Optimised Crankcase Pressure & Oil Flow
Integrated scavenge pumps efficiently extract aerated oil directly from the sump pan into a remote tank:
- Utilises the OEM Oil Pump belt drive system, eliminating the need for external drive belt
- Reduces crankcase pressure and piston resistance
- Improves horsepower output and oil circulation
Easier Installation
Featuring fully integrated scavenge galleries, the system reduces reliance on vulnerable external oil lines and fittings – minimising leak risks, additional installation costs and installation time. This is a motorsport-grade component and must be installed by a qualified motorsport professional. The compact design eliminates front-end packaging issues in the engine bay and removes the risk of auxiliary drive belt failure. If you are unsure, we strongly advise that all mechanical and safety-critical work be carried out by a certified expert.
The standard exhaust system will require modifications to provide clearance around the oil pump.
S-CAN 3D accepts no liability for damage resulting from improper installation or misuse. For support or guidance, please contact the AT Power sales team.
The Unit Includes:
- Billet-machined low-profile sump pan with turbo drain feature
- Front cover and integrated 3-stage dual-ported billet-machined oil pump.
- Externally accessed pressure relief valve (PRV) for easy tuning and adjustment.
- Compatible with oil coolers to further reduce temperatures and extend engine durability.
Field-Tested Performance
This system has been rigorously tested on a Mitsubishi EVO 2.3L Stroker race car, operating up to 8000 RPM and delivering 800 HP with 550 ft-lbs of torque. Dyno-tested under extreme conditions before being used in competitive time attack races. Oil pressure remained stable throughout the rev range, with 580 kPa (84 PSI) recorded at 8000 RPM.
After extensive field testing, a full teardown inspection showed no visible or measurable wear to any component parts.
Designed to withstand up to 10,000 RPM (not yet tested at this limit).
Complete Your Build:
We also offer dry sump oil tanks, oil pump fittings, and other essential accessories for a seamless installation.
Whether you’re building a track car, time attack machine, or a competitive race vehicle, AT Power’s Semi-Integrated Dry Sump System delivers world-class performance with simplified installation.
