Featuring our innovative patented Shaftless Technology, these throttle bodies deliver up to 10% increased airflow compared to conventional shafted systems, enhancing throttle response and engine efficiency.

Popular Applications

AT Power’s cable pull single throttle bodies are used across a wide range of motorsport and performance applications. Common fitments include:

Kit cars & single-seaters: Caterham, Westfield, Lotus Seven, Ariel Atom, Radical, Formula Student, and custom spaceframe builds. The compact shaftless housing fits tight engine bays where conventional throttle bodies don’t.

Turbo plenum builds: Any turbocharged or supercharged engine using a single plenum-and-throttle induction setup. Popular on four-cylinder and six-cylinder motorsport engines. For 36mm-52mm on a boosted engine, remove the inlet tube and apply sealant at the joint. On 55mm-80mm, boost sealing is integrated.

Carburettor conversions: Converting a Weber, Dellorto, or SU carburettor engine to fuel injection? A cable pull single throttle body is the natural replacement, retaining your existing cable and linkage arrangement while adding EFI capability.

Hill climb & sprint: The direct mechanical connection of a cable pull throttle body is particularly valued in hill climb, sprint, and autocross where precise, responsive throttle control is critical.

Rally & circuit: AT Power throttle bodies are used in professional motorsport across rally, circuit racing, and time attack. The shaftless design’s reliability under sustained competition conditions makes it the choice for serious builds.

Bore Size Guide

Not sure which bore size to choose? As a starting point:

  • 36mm-42mm: small-displacement NA engines up to ~160hp
  • 45mm-52mm: mid-range NA four-cylinder engines, 160-280hp
  • 55mm-65mm: NA or boosted applications up to ~400hp
  • 70mm-80mm: large-bore or high-boost forced induction builds, 400hp+

  • For Turbo on 36mm-52mm, remove the inlet tube and apply sealant on joint, refit.
  • On 54-80mm Bore, this is integrated into the design.
